Unique Entity ID Guide
The Unique Entity ID is the federal government identifier for an entity record. It anchors registration, award, and reporting activity across multiple acquisition systems.
Use the UEI as a durable lookup key
Company names and addresses can change, but the UEI is designed to identify the entity record. Keep it visible in internal CRM, proposal, and compliance systems.
Validate linked registrations
A UEI alone does not mean the entity is ready for every bid. Confirm active SAM registration, representations, exclusion status, and any agency-specific requirements before relying on the record.
Keep it consistent across teams
Sales, finance, and compliance teams should use the same UEI when researching agencies, reviewing award history, and completing onboarding forms.
